I submitted an in-game support ticket to Bioware on 1/16 requesting guild leader transfer for our guild. Is it really necessary to wait the full 8 weeks for the system to automatically transfer guild leadership? Our guild is organized via a formal document that states that all seven of the officers are equal in rank and that we pass around guild leadership depending on who's active, but one of our seven officers who had guild leader has been MIA for about two weeks.
Things happen in guilds at a much faster pace than eight weeks; that's enough time for a level 1 to casually level to 50. Many guilds don't even last two months period. It would be a huge inconvenience for us to have to wait six more weeks for our guild leadership to be transferred, since the game puts so many responsibilities (bank, promotion to the top non-GL rank, etc.) on the "technical" guild leader (we can't avoid the technical limitations of the game so we call it Technical Guild Leader or TGL, which means essentially nothing to our guild except for special bank and promotion abilities).
Is Bioware just going to ignore my ticket and let the system automatically reassign GL in 8 weeks, or will a CSR answer the ticket and transfer the leadership sooner? I doubt Bioware would actually pay attention to details such as the formal organization of a guild, but we have a ratified Charter document that states our organization, and I could have each Officer send a mail to a CSR to let them know of their assent for reassigning GL. At this point we don't even want to demote the inactive player; just having them be an officer (one rank below GL) is fine for the short to medium term.
Note that Bioware has not yet responded to the ticket. I have no indication that they've even viewed it.
