So I played a bit vanilla Minecraft to get a feeling how things work. I'm confident I can take it to the next step with mods.

Now what I'm looking for are mods that transform vanilla Minecraft to an entirely different game. Namely an RPG.

What mods are out there that add a lot of RPG elements to the game?

Mod recommendations seem to be in contention, currently. We have members on both sides. Regardless, this question is far too broad, no matter the stance on mod-recs. – fbueckert Jan 30 at 16:35

@SevenSidedDie What RPG elements are you looking for? XP? Levels? Weapon types? Turn-based combat? What type of RPG? Western Elder Scrolls style? JRPG? There's no way to answer something like this without much more detail, which is what makes it so broad. If you want to discuss, I'm always in the Bridge. – fbueckert Jan 30 at 19:01
