Valve has recently started moving some of their games on Steam to the Linux OS due to their owner's stated distaste for Windows 8 and the company's desire to build their own open console, termed the 'Steam Box'.

For reference, here is a list of Valve's games: http://store.steampowered.com/sub/16236/

Which of their games are currently able to be played on Linux natively? Does Valve list these somewhere?

Do you mean just Valve-written games, or Steam games, period? – fbueckert Feb 1 at 16:40

@fbueckert As the question states, Valve is moving some of their games. – Decency Feb 1 at 17:55

@Decency It wouldn't be out of the question to think "their games" refers to "the games on Steam" instead of "the games made by Valve." There's no need to get snippy. – OrigamiRobot Feb 1 at 17:59

@OrigamiRobot Valve will likely encounter some significant difficulty trying to port things they don't own. -.- – Decency Feb 1 at 18:23

This ought to be the answer, but several titles are missing – badp Feb 1 at 18:28

So far, the following Games have been ported:

  • Half Life
  • Team Fortress 2

Source for Half Life: http://www.geek.com/articles/games/valve-ports-half-life-to-linux-20130125/

Half Life might not be available yet though, since there is no icon yet on the Steam Store for it.

There's a Linux tab on the far right of the Steam menu-bar. – Enigma Feb 15 at 17:07
