I've been looking at purchasing a Belkin Nostromo N52 TE and was wondering if anyone had had experience with this device. I have a few questions about it:

  • Is is easy to setup and configure?
  • Does it work well on a Mac?
  • Do you think it improves your game play?
  • Is there a better left hand accessory that I should be looking at purchasing instead?

I just picked up on one ebay for about $30 used. Also, you'll want to use this software (the belkin site is confusing!): belkin.com/support/article/… Also make sure you use the 1.10 drivers here (if you are using Windows 7, I hear the more current drivers don't work): belkin.com/support/article/… –  jcollum Oct 11 '10 at 6:00

  1. Yes, very easy. I plugged it in and it worked.
  2. Yes.
  3. I used it for Raven Shield, as well as Battlefield 2, Borderlands, and other PC games. It allowed me to set up profiles and macros, which helped when I needed to do a collection of actions repeatedly (such as aiming a helicopter TV-missile in BF2).
  4. I've tried just about every accessory out there, and none beat my trusty N52.
