Arqade is a question and answer site for passionate videogamers on all platforms. It's 100% free, no registration required.

Many, many years ago I had the opportunity to play with Microsoft DarkBasic on a Windows 98 machine. I don't remember anything about the version number, except that it was contemporary to Windows 98. I don't know if any subsequent or previous versions included the same demo, but anyway.

If anyone can remember the name of the music track in the demo, I'd really appreciate it if it could be shared. I'm pretty sure it was some contemporary popular music, but it may well have been composed specifically for the demo (in which case, never mind).

Sorry, @Chris. We're not a search or sharing service. This is also on the order of identify-this-music, which at the very least requires a concrete artifact to point to and go, "This is what I'm talking about." in order for it to be on-topic. – fbueckert Feb 13 at 19:38
that's alright, I kind of figured it was off-topic when I posted it but I was desperate and didn't know where else to go. I've since found the answer, anyway, the music I was thinking of was Road Trippin' by the RHCP. :) – Chris Browne Feb 14 at 11:56

Found this post on the DB forums, maybe it will be helpful. Seems to suggest the thing we're talking about is "DarkBasic EXAMPLE PROGRAM 25".

This post seems to have the code. Doesn't look like it plays music, however.
