I read somewhere LoL was using this elo based matchmaking system. I dont know if dota did this earlier. Is it valve who first invented this? Tagged are various modern games which are known to use different variations of a team matchmaking system that rates players.

Which game was the first to use a team matchmaking rating system?

If its matchmaking you search, I would say that Halo 2 might had the first matchmaking system in history AFAIK. – Fredy31 Feb 17 at 14:59
I wasnt talking about elo. it is matchmaking system which is based on elo. And what is the point of downvoting all questions? yes, it is a real question about COUNTER STRIKE: GLOBAL OFFENSIVE matchmaking system. I guess I m done with this gaming part of stackexchange. farewell – emmett Feb 17 at 21:00
That's actually a really interesting question that I'm not sure of the answer to. I've rewritten your question a bit. – Decency Feb 21 at 4:21
