I remember there was a Final Fantasy game for the Gamecube where you could also use your Game Boy Advance to control or have some advantages by playing on both platforms...

So are there any games out there which communicate between Wii and DS?

And if yes, is there a list anywhere of those games?

The game in question was "Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles" – Raven Dreamer Dec 7 '10 at 22:47
As well, "Sonic Adventure 2: Battle" (GC) could interact with "Sonic Advance" 1, 2, and possibly 3. – GnomeSlice Dec 8 '10 at 1:38
And Harvest Moon could. – Ullallulloo Dec 8 '10 at 18:38

Actually I asked for a list of games fulfilling a certain, non-subjective and very restricted criterion. – eL13 Jan 10 '11 at 0:11

In addition to Pokemon Battle Revolution as noted in ChrisF's answer, Animal Crossing: City Folk allows you to connect to it's DS counterpart (Animal Crossing: Wild World) and import characters. Also, My Pokemon Ranch (as stated by Michael Madsen) is a WiiWare game that functions similarly to Pokemon Box for the Gamecube - it acts as a very large storage box for your DS Pokemon games.

If you connect the DS version of Geometry Wars: Galaxies to the Wii version, you can unlock the final galaxy. Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia (DS) and Castlevania Judgment (Wii) connect to unlock additional content as well.

From Wikipedia the only other game mentioned is:

  • Pokémon Battle Revolution.

Players with either the Pokémon Diamond or Pearl Nintendo DS games are able to play battles using their Nintendo DS as a controller.

Pokémon Ranch also has connectivity, but it probably doesn't qualify. :) – Michael Madsen Dec 8 '10 at 1:16

Guitar Hero 5 and Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock both can interact with the DS.

How does it interact? Which benefits do I get? – eL13 Dec 12 '10 at 11:24
There's a multiplayer mode called "Roadie Battle" where the players on the wii console compete with each other while their "roadie(s)" sabotage the opposing players while fixing the damage done by the roadies of the competition. – Mr. November Dec 12 '10 at 16:42
In Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock, roadies can also create setlists for their players. – Mr. November Dec 12 '10 at 16:45
