Squirrel plays tic-tac-toe at expert level and is a formidable player.

Has anyone managed to win?

Tried following this: but its always a draw.

It is always a draw because tic tac toe, if both players play the perfect move, always ends in a draw. It is proved that there exist for both player 1 and 2 an algorithm to force a draw – user58002 Oct 24 '13 at 14:58
I believe this shouldn't be closed as a duplicate of… as per community consensus in the Arqade Meta post, What do you do when a question is asked which is a collection of other asked questions? – galacticninja Nov 2 '13 at 6:08

Try thinking outside the box.. (hover below to see solution)

You can place your X outside the boundaries.

You beat me to it. – 5pike Oct 24 '13 at 9:48
for those who don't play, I guess it means putting an X outside the "official" playing area – ratchet freak Oct 24 '13 at 12:48

The Only way to win is by putting all of you X's in a row outside the box.
