Rocksteady are a pretty new developer and Batman: Arkham Asylum is only their second game, but it feels a game that's from an experienced developer that had the time and the resources to make a truly great game. That's the kind of polish and just plain solidness you expect from big studios that had a few games under their belt.

What I've been wondering is whether the studio's leads are industry known people? That would explain how they got such an amazing second game on time and of such quality.

That's interesting, I've wondered the same thing. The most I can find (MobyGames) is that they were formed in the aftermath of the closure of Argonaut. That's not much. I'd suggest writing an email to them, someone in their PR should be willing to answer your question. – Kitt Basch Jun 10 '11 at 20:39
and if you do get a reply, make sure to post it as an answer. (I would probably not post the actual response itself unless you're making it clear that you want the information for a website when you contact them, but I don't see a problem with paraphrasing it here.) – Dave DuPlantis Jun 10 '11 at 21:21

Don't get me wrong, I think what you're asking here is really cool, but not exactly on topic. If you were just asking for the history of the Studio, I think that might be too far removed from actual games, but now you're asking about the history of lead developers who worked at the studio. That's definitely too far removed. I think it'd even be off topic for game-dev – tzenes Jun 10 '11 at 21:24
