Just installed Cryostasis from GamersGate. I tried playing it but I can barely move. I have set everything at low or off, including Physx. I have turned off and on hardware acceleration (is it better on?) and nothing. I once tried to set the vertex shader to 2.0 but the game would just start with a black screen (had to manually change the config file to get it starting).
I have a more than decent system for the game. I bought it a year after it came out.
I have 4 Gb of ram, a 9600GT M, Intel Cored 2 Duo with 2.13GHz and Windows 7 64. This should easily run the game even at higher settings. I updated the graphics driver.
Has anyone gone through this? Thank you
Edit, some clarifications:
When I say that I can't walk I mean the camera turns very hard, it is lagging, skipping frames. I don't know how to see my fps count (should I install fraps?).
I recently had the idea to turn the resolution down to 800x600. In this mode the game works fine even with higher settings. Still I would like to know what's going on.
