I'm looking into getting my 7 year old kid a handheld game device, there seems to be numerous versions out there and I'm not sure where to start in researching these. She loves Star Wars, so it will have to have that game(s). I've seen several version of Nintendo's DS and a Sony PSP at a local store, any other handhelds out there? Are there any good web sites which review or compares various features of these? any advice?

Every major gaming news website will do that. Google and Wikipedia are your friend. Here's a list of recent gaming consoles (a few of those are obscure/out of production, so see each one's article for more information) and here's the full list of Star Wars videogames ever with year and platform. Add in some good ole fashioned googling ("3ds review"), the full lists of videogames per platform on Wikipedia (here's an index of such lists) and you should be able to make up your mind :) |

Asking for good web sites are no different then asking for product recommendations.no it is different. I thought there were "gamers" here and they would know a good review site. I could search around using google, but I just thought you guys could offer something better. I was wrong. Other than @badp, everyone here was no help. thanks. would it take much to list a few web sites? you guys probably read a few of the "good ones" each day. – dazed_and_confuzed Sep 8 '11 at 11:30
