Is there anywhere I can look at a list of all games steam is offering for free?

There is a Free to Play category on the Steam store.

In addition to this there is a popular and seemingly up-to-date list of free Steam games on the Steam Forums.

Note that the F2P category only includes pay2win games. Actually free games like Alien Swarm are not included. – kotekzot Jan 19 at 16:00

  • There is a Genre called Free-To-Play
  • Demos are also free to play

You can also choose "Advanced Search" and narrow your search to `"Free To Play"'.

I'm pretty sure the only free game other than online games such as Spiral Knights or Team Fortress 2 is Alien Swarm. Other than that there are always demos.

I think the Portal For free thing was a launch promotion for Steam-on-mac. I would be surprised if it's still active. – Ed Brannin Dec 29 '11 at 13:57
