I would assume since it's in the official gameplay trailer (at about 30 seconds in), that it's pronounced as: SKY-rim At least, that's how I hear it. There's also developers pronouncing it as SKY-rim in the making of video. |

It's sky-rim. To be exact it's skyrim[skaɪɹɪm] (for obvious reasons). The dash is there because you put it in the question; it has nothing to do with pronunciation. Scrim is a common mistake when you read the name fast and without much attention. SKEE-rim is probably the one you see on drugs. From official trailers it is also pronounced skyriM or skyriN(depends on what they refer to) plus it puts more effort on pronouncing the last letter than the SKY. Listen on 0:31

I just watched a commercial for it and they called it "SKY RIM" (equal emphasis on both syllables). Sky, just like the word "sky" is typically pronounced, and rim, just like the word "rim" is typically pronounced. |

You can also hear many other characters in the game itself pronounce the word when talking about their province. And yes, it's [skaɪɹɪm]. |
