Legal ways of playing old games that aren't for sale any longer

I loved playing Sim Farm growing up and I want to down load it again (legally). Does anyone know where I can download it and if it will work on my laptop that has Windows 7?

I checked Steam, Direct2Drive, GOG.com, and EA's Origin Store. It doesn't seem to be available legally in a downloadable form. However, you can find copies of the CD-ROM on eBay - I searched and found a few different copies.

I am not sure if it will run on Windows 7 directly, but you can always try running it in Compatibility Mode (Windows XP would probably work, I have vague memories of running it on a PC with XP.).
