My question is quite simple. Can the best performance on League of Legends be achieved through mouse and keyboard, or would a peripheral like Nostromo be the key to excel on the micro and macro control of the gaming course?

I will answer this question as if were asking how a PRO performance could be achieved. 1. Communication with your team. - TeamSpeaker (aka TS) - Ventrilo (aka Vent) - Skype - Chat 2. Good gear: - Mouse. A good mouse provide faster reaction. - Keyboard. A good keyboard will give you comfort. - Video board/Monitor. A good video board/Monitor give you more visibility on your screen. So you have more area in your monitor. This will work for ANY FPS Game that you are gonna play. – Michel Mar 23 '12 at 20:48

Hi @MadChinima, your question was closed as Not Constructive because it is very subjective. There's no single, definitive answer that you can choose here because player skill is variable in the game and we cannot make a blanket statement saying that various peripherals will improve or not improve performance. You're going to need a mouse regardless, so it's really a matter of if you would rather use a Nostromo-like device for using your items/abilities/summoners or your keyboard.

Communication is key to solo queue in League of Legends. Assuming that you are not in a group of five all the time, you will be forced to type "ss" or "mia" to let other's know what is going on.

You will need a mouse / keyboard to play League of Legends simply because of the communication aspect.
