As we saw yesterday, he was used in the Dignitas vs JPak and friends match, and underperformed. In fact, this was the only professional match I saw him in. In theory, he has a terrific kit, with a 3 second hard CC, a health drain, a multi-target silence, and a high-damaging AoE ultimate. However, we never see him used in high level play, and he always seems to be countered far too easily.

So my question is this: what can be changed or improved to make him more viable?

Fiddlesticks is not viable because he has terrible wave-clearing and auto-attack damage (meaning he can't lane) and is a single-target DPS jungler (meaning he's slow in the new jungle).

Fiddle was fine in the old jungle because camps were much stronger and the speed difference between AOE junglers and single-target junglers was not anywhere near as large. Fiddlesticks' incredible ganking potential unfortunately doesn't make up for his terrible clearing time/ability in this new jungle.

If Fiddlesticks had his original 2/4/6/8/10 bounce scaling Dark Wind, he would be able to clear waves and jungle camps relatively well once acquiring a bit of AP. He would have to be adjusted accordingly in terms of ganking power and damage/silence of Dark Wind if this happened however.
