You don't need a Masterball to capture a legendary Pokemon. You can use other kind of pokeballs, it will only take more tries. – Michel Apr 18 '12 at 16:59

To obtain another Master Ball after having already used the first one, you must have some luck on your side. The Goldenrod Radio Tower has a Lottery Corner, where if all 5 numbers of the ID of any of your Pokemon match (including those in the PC), you will receive a Master Ball. You can do this multiple times, but takes a lot of luck and patience.

You can also have a friend trade over a Pokemon with it holding a Master Ball.

If you have an Action Replay, you could use a code to get another Master Ball.

I'll also add that for the lottery, if you trade a lot of Pokemon you will increase your chances since you have many different "ID numbers". – DisgruntledGoat Nov 30 '12 at 11:27

You go to Prof. Elm when you beat all the gem leaders. He will give you a master ball, so when he gives you the master ball you hold down x and tap the screen and you have 2 master balls

Do you have a source for this? Sounds like a schoolyard rumor – JohnoBoy Apr 28 at 4:40

No it's totally legit. Also if you release your best pokemon, hop on one foot and throw your gameboy against the wall, you'll get three free masterballs and a mewthree. – BlueRaja - Danny Pflughoeft Apr 28 at 5:19
@BlueRaja-DannyPflughoeft Goddmanit. That's the third Gameboy I broke trying your method. And the fourth foot. Don't ask. – JohnoBoy Apr 28 at 9:15
