I've been happily playing Dragonvale on my iPad for about five months, and was surprised to discover I'd hit the ceiling when I reached level 30. Is this a permanent limit, or does it get increased occasionally?

I'm just a bit annoyed, because I'd finally worked out the best way to get XP and suddenly I don't need it any more (and my sister is catching up with me while I'm standing still! :-P)

Although this would technically fall into "speculation on the future of the industry", I believe there is a good chance that if they continue to release updates to the game, there will be a level increase at some point.

They have already increased the level cap twice (from 20 to 25, and then 25 to 30), so it would seem reasonable that they'll continue to do so in future updates.

Great, thanks for answering. – Quibbler May 11 '12 at 13:06

As of June first the maximum level is now 35. If you were at level 30 before, you didn't earn any experience while you were at "Max" level, FYI, so you'll start at 0% XP toward level 31.

You can see a list of level rewards on the Wiki, note that levels 31-35 only add extra habitats (one per level). For future reference, they've raised the level cap by five every several months (irregularly) so we'll really never know what the max level will be (or if there will be one).
