I'm too poor to get this nice game but I would like to search players' profiles.

How can one find players' profiles via a web search or some similar method?

WOW after 2 years ;) Did you find a new User info page, that is still up and running? – rubo77 May 18 at 16:12

You can use SC2Ranks to find stats on individual players. On each player page is a link to their official profile page on BattleNet

For example, my (sad) stats:

And near the upper left corner of that page is the link to my profile page:

Ewal on BattlNet

Don't feel so bad about your rank. We all started somewhere. Also you may find this helpful: – tzenes Aug 30 '10 at 20:11
That page is full of adds, I cannot find anything there. In 2010 it looked different ;) see the archived version at: – rubo77 May 18 at 16:09

It seems like you cannot search for the profiles any more, but on the site

You can search for the player name. There you see this ladder symbol: enter image description here which leads to a stats page, which should give you an idea of the skills of that player

This should now be the correct answer as the main one is outdated. RankedFTW is an excellent resource and you can search by player name or by player URL. Do you guys know of any way to search by BattleTag or how to convert a BattleTag to a URL? – Mario Awad Jun 24 at 11:58

If you ever do need to sign in, you can get a account for free. You can even get a free Starcraft II Starter Edition account since August 2011. It allows you to play online as Terran on a limited amount of maps.
