minecraft problems please help

I am having a problem installing Minecraft, I have a premium Minecraft account and I'm trying to use the Magic Launcher however I am experiencing issues.

First of all when I go to my .minecraft folder, the only files in this folder belong to the Magic Launcher.

I have tried completely uninstalling and deleting my .minecraft folder and re-downloading but this didn't work, I have also tried to force an update but this didn't appear to do anything.

When I do try and play Minecraft offline I get the following error message;

Does anybody have any ideas on how to resolve this issue?

Force Update doesn't change your premium status with Minecraft. minecraft.com is offline right now, so that might be your actual reason why you can't log in.

When it does come back online, wipe all those launcher and crap off your system, remove the .minecraft folder, then go to minecraft.com, log in and redownload the new version of the game from scratch. Let it fully launch at least once with the stock launcher, then make a back up of your minecraft folder and go crazy.
