Why does the follower get trapped just before the battle with diablo? If you play in a coop game you can face diablo with other players at the same time, but when playing solo the game forces you to play the last battle alone.

Is there any specific reason for that?

In general, questions about design intent are considered off topic. There's really no way to give an answer that isn't speculative to some extent which is a poor fit for the q&a format here. – LessPop_MoreFizz Aug 11 '12 at 14:03
@LessPop_MoreFizz Is right. The best answer one could give is, "The Devs thought it'd be better", which, all things considered, is probably not what you were hoping to learn. – Raven Dreamer Aug 11 '12 at 14:06
AFAIK Diablo does not have an enrage timer. If you had a follower you could just run around the whole time and let your follower deal the damage. – ayckoster Aug 11 '12 at 14:07
Ok, I get it, but just saying 'there is no specific reason, as far as we know' seems a good enough answer to me – stoldark Aug 11 '12 at 15:41
@stoldark: "I don't know" is not the kind of answer we seek here. Really. – Omega Aug 11 '12 at 20:14
