I have noticed that on PC TNT explodes almost instantly, when grouped, but not on the Xbox version. Is the code different?

When have you seen PC TNT exploding instantly? In my experience, it has always taken a few seconds before exploding. – SaintWacko Sep 7 '12 at 19:31
My TNT cannon would be impossible if TNT exploded instantly on the PC. I'd say this is Not A Real Question because the presented facts are just not true. – SevenSidedDie Sep 7 '12 at 22:44

Remember that the Xbox version is several versions behind; at launch, it was equivalent to version Beta 1.6, under which TNT behaved entirely differently (specifically, it could be set off without redstone). If you haven't patched your game (or are watching old videos), that could account for the difference.
