I've been wondering, if I have a high-end graphics card like, say, a GTX 670... If I was to play a game that didn't have a really high resource demand like Call of Duty or something, what impact would the resolution have on the framerate?
I understand that typically, lower resolution equates to higher framerates. However, would it be a really big difference between something like 1024x768 and 3072x768?
I'm asking this because I want to get a 670 eventually, and I have 3 1024x768 monitors lined up and I'd like to play games across all of them using NVidia Surround.
The difference between those 3 displays as far as number of pixels, doesn't differ much from a standard 1080p display from my calculations. Actually, my display setup has 285,696 more pixels than a single 1080p display. (Graphically, not that much.)
