Is there a mod that I can use to protect an area from mob spawns in single player for Minecraft? I've built a giant city and would like to play it in survival, but I don't want to make it ridiculously bright at night.

are mod reqests on topic? – Ender Dec 2 '12 at 19:27
I'm inclined to vote to close. You're asking for a mod, which is essentially a game request. If you already had a mod in mind, and asked how to use it to do what you want, you'd be fine. (Hint: World Guard and a private (local) Bukkit server.) – MBraedley Dec 2 '12 at 19:39
Just a note -- whether mod recommendations are on topic was recently briefly discussed in this meta post. – Schism Dec 2 '12 at 20:50
I think it's on topic, it's a question with a definite answer. It's not a question of "which is best" or anything, I'm asking for a specific mod that will get the job done. – Rev Dec 2 '12 at 23:29
@Ender I'm afraid they're not. The meta post explains how you could fix the question. – badp Dec 3 '12 at 0:15
