Assassin's Creed II is the second game in the main Assassin's Creed series by Ubisoft. The game picks up immediately where Assassin's Creed ended, with Desmond's escape from Abstergo. From there, a new ancestor is introduced: Ezio Auditore da Firenze in the early Italian Renaissance.
How much of the storyline carries over to the second version? I'm considering skipping to AC2 since I've heard its quite a bit more varied and generally a better game. AC1 was fun in the beginning ...
