Play to the strengths of the class you're playing. These rules bend a lot but you'll learn that with experience. Assault - Drop ammo packs near teammates. Pick off guys at medium distance. Long distance works well too but that's best effective on defense. Shoot your grenade launcher at bunched up enemies. Engineer - Repair friendly vehicles, blow up enemy ...

When you jump off of a ledge, immediately press spacebar again and it will deploy your parachute.

Both games implement some combination of or have variations for each of the following features: Scope sway Gravity induced bullet drop Bullet travel time Body posture Clothing (Ghillies) Tools Battlefield:BC2 Scope sway None. BC2 does not implement a "breathing" aspect for sniping. Thus your crosshairs are stationary unless you move them. Gravity ...

Not sure what your previous Battlefield experience level is, but the biggest thing that sets it apart from most other multiplayer FPS is its focus on teamwork. Stick close to your squad, and work together to accomplish the given objectives for a map. Killing enemies will net you points, but unless you're lucky or the Angel of Death, it's unlikely that kills ...

You need to equip this part of your class's vehicle specialization: Alternate Weapon Package A weapons package that upgrades the targeting systems of vehicles and helicopters. It extends the effective range and accuracy of mounted weapons. - Adds an alternate weapons to the vehicle. Such as the M1A1, will have a secondary machine gun that you can control ...

Your confusion is because DICE, the game developer, is using the terminology imprecisely. First: "Team" is a major faction, US or Russians. "Squad" is a group within a team. Squads have 4 or fewer players. If a team is small enough, it might consist of just a single squad. When you play Squad Deathmatch, it's your 4-man squad that wins even if message ...

On PS3, you have to target a medic of your team (i.e. look at him with your crosshairs) and press Select. You're on PC and Q is the right key, so I'm guessing the problem is you didn't target a friendly medic with your crosshair first. They have to be close enough. If it works, you'll hear your guy screaming out for help.

Its based on the persons level. Bronze: Knife kill a player with the ranking 1-21 Silver: Knife kill a player with the ranking 22-45 Gold: Knife kill a player with the ranking 46-50 Source: http://loot-ninja.com/2010/03/25/battlefield-bad-company-2-dog-tags-explained/

That means you got the most score by using that weapon or vehicle while you were in that room, it carries over from match to match unlike that KD which is just from the previous match. It further breaks it down by how many kills you had with it, distance driven, and how many people you ran over.

It's a quite notorious weapon, and like the Grenade Launcher Attachment (a.k.a. Noob-Tube) in Modern Warfare 2, quite deadly against infantry. Since it does not lose elevation, you can snipe anything from the far end of the map, if you know where to shoot. So, beginners, as they get hold of the weapon, abuse Carl Gustav, and get on other people's nerves. ...

To circle strafe with a helicopter in any game you have to understand some things about helicopter controls. There are three main controls, the cyclic, the collective, and the pedals. The cyclic tilts the helicopter to the right, left, forward, and backward. (Like leaning in a direction.) The collective makes the helicopter go up and down. (Like climbing ...

Medic is generally the fastest. Some people have actually complained about it on the official forums and requested a nerf for gameplay balance. Speaking as someone who primarily plays recon, though, I think it's fine. Non-Medic-Specific Notes Below are a bunch of notes about level the Medic class, but here are a few for any class. Try to find ...

When the game was first released there was no limitations on spotting and you were able to spot through some non-transparent objects (trees). This caused some major outcry and was fixed in a patch by adding spotting overheating and inability to spot through the objects (which now often makes spotting through the leaves problematic even at direct sight). ...

Below are a few examples of when you cant spawn on a team mate: If your squad member is in a full vehicle If your squad member is out of the combat area Sometimes when your squad member is in complicated terrain (like jumping though piles of rocks) there is no space for you to spawn, in these situations the game will wait until there is space to avoid you ...

I have come across this issue before when I had the Dragon Age on Disk but wanted to use the expansion on Steam. In my case it was not possible and I needed the Steam version of Dragon Age in order to use the expansion. Steam has been putting notes in the details of the game to make things more clear about it. You can see a notice in steam under the game ...

It is similar to call of duty's hardcore mode. Hardcore mode was added to further the sense of realism in the game. In hardcore mode there is no HUD so you cant check how much ammo you have remaining etc, the amount of damage you can sustain is reduced so you'll be dead within a couple of shots, but watch out for those snipers! You will die within one shot ...

Well, it's a remake of 2004's Battlefield Vietnam only in the broad sense that it's a similar setting. I do not think it's a true remake -- in the sense of having the same maps, same gameplay, and exactly the same vehicles and weapons as the 2004 game. From what I have read, it'll be the same (awesome) core BF:BC2 gameplay, but transplanted to new jungle ...

Darts can be fired either from the dart pistol or as secondary action by the Apache/Havoc gunner if he has alternative weapons package; Dart gun is the only weapon in BC2, which doesn't have any bullet drop at all. So don't aim above the target. Also even though it's almost silent, it will disclose your position as dart leaves red smoke trail; Once your ...

Yes, there IS a visual cue! The red guidance square disappears. That means you can fire again. There are also auditory cues. The crew (not sure why it sounds as though there is a mortar crew, since it's a UAV, but anyway) let you know when you're ready to go again.

I think you have it the other way around. The number that is typically in square is the Veteran Rank. Veteran rank is the number of previous Battlefield titles you have tied to your EA account. For example if you own bad company 2 and you also own battlefield 2 you would have a veteran rank of 1. You don't have to be rank 50 to have veteran rank either. ...

No. When you die, everything is reset, except equipment and ammo you were wearing, which are reset on regular respawn. Thus, your kill streak is reset.

I would suggest planting as many as possible before triggering them. Your chances of dying before re-planting are high, so you may not get a chance to re-plant. Also, if you die while planting C4, your C4 will stay there, and your team or the enemy may set off your C4, which will still give you points for MCOM damage and any resulting enemy deaths. It is ...

For picking up roadkills, Conquest mode is probably the best. There tend to be more vehicles available than in other modes, and in more predictable locations. You might also find that it's actually easier to pick up roadkills in armor than with a quad bike. Quads have a relatively low area to impact the target with, and you can get roadkills by trapping ...

Far as I know, BC2 doesn't support this by default. You have to find a well-administered server. On "big name" servers, the keywords I've had the most luck with have been "admin" and "reporting". Keep in mind that a server admin can see all chat, so it might be best to type to your squad instead of general chat. Typing in general chat is an incite for ...

C4 and AT mines with explosive spec equipped (x1.25) do the biggest blast damage - 362.5 points (soldier health is 100 points). Tank shells with weapon upgrade spec (x1.25) do the most damage to tanks - 1093.75 points (tank health is 1250 points). I don't know if any spec makes TOW shells stronger, but they do 900 damage to tanks by default (comparing to ...

Here is how you have to do: Fire the dart at a vehicle (or a soldier, it's funny ;) Select one of the weapons using the darts guidance (RPG-7 AT, M2 Carl Gustav AT but not the M136, which is not compatible with darts) Find your taget and aim (you will see a yellow rectangle), then hit the magic multi-purpose select (on PS3, should be Q on PC). You will ...

You must check if the used game required the permanent association of the cd-key with an online account. Because, if the previous owner of the game has registered the cd-key online with username and password, you'll not be able to register the game anymore. Play online with an used game is not a problem, if the cd-key is still valid.

Individual or Grouped The damage you do is simply a function of the number of C4 you set off, whether you set them off individually or in groups. Count In his excellent analysis of BFBC2 damage, Den Kirkson analyzed the code and found that C4 does 290 damage at 0-1 meters, and then does a linear drop-off to zero damage at 8 meters. (A human without body ...

The SPECACT parts were added together with a DLC, the SPECACT Assault, Engineer, Medic and Recon individual DLC's, as well as a bundle DLC that included all four. The SPECACT DLC for a particular class gave you an extra weapon, basically a "SPECACT" version of one of the better weapons for that class, unlocked and ready for you to play with. It also gave ...
