In DCUO, things are broken down a little differently than some other MMOs - rather than the DPS/healer/tank trinity, you've got controller/healer/tank, and everyone does DPS. The game's name for "tank" is "Defense role". There are two flavors of Defense role - Fire and Ice. Fire's official description: "Defense: Command the power of flame, directing gusts ...

The mental power set is also a Controller role. This means you gain special effects to your powers in controller stance. At level 12, you can purchase Pyrokinesis in the Telekinesis line of powers. This ability locks down your target's healing abilities, which should make Cyborg a lot easier to deal with. If you reach 16, the Psychic Shock power in the ...

You could try the following: Start the download, stop it immediately, and close steam completely. Copy over the files installed from the CDs to steam\steamapps\common\[folder steam installs it to] Now run steam and validate files for the game. Steam should recognize most of the files. From ...

You don't really "tank" as such in PVP if thats your focus, however if you looking for stats on a ice power sets for PVP then I'd go for "toughness", "might" and "Power". That will give you reduction in damage taken (toughness), more spell damage (might) and power for a bigger mana pool (cast more). I play a fire tank, and I focus on "Defense", "Might", ...

In combat your movement abilities will be limited, they will also be limited when you are attacked while using movement ability. Same goes when you attack in the movement mode. It seems there's a fixed amount of time (I'm not sure how long it is - maybe 3 seconds or 5 seconds?) that you'll have to stay out of combat before you can move at full speed again. ...

The vault is a special minigame that you can access once per day which contains lots of presents falling from the sky that you must break open. A random amount of them contain a random item (usually green quality) for around your level. (Someone please correct me if this has changed, haven't played at all since a few months after release).

Given how these skills don't list duration while the amount of damage absorption has been documented, it seems reasonable to assume that they may last until n damage is dealt to those protected and so the answer is that either could conceivably have a shorter duration. Bastion with the lower damage protection seems to have the shorter duration, but since it ...

According to a topic on the DC Universe PS3 forums, this was a known bug with no obvious cause. Many people only had to accept the terms once (and again with new patches) and others had to accept them every single time the game launched. There was no clear distinction between users who saw the bug and those who did not. Those who were experiencing the ...

Overall, no. In quests you have to explicitly accept, the "kill counter" doesn't start ticking until and unless you've accepted the quest, and the fifty VENOM agents you already incapacitated won't count toward the fifteen that your contact wants you to take out. On the other hand, "automatic" quests are added to your quest list the moment you pass ...

I decided for the good of the community clear a few things from my hard drive and download DC Universe from the Playstation Store. Sadly however it turns out (for some unknown silly reason) it doesn't access the same downloaded update data I have for my physical copy :( The actual game launcher (from the XMB) required updating too. Then once I was on the ...

I would say ice but I'm not an ice player I'm a fire tank, but generally ice has the better crowd control and team friendly protective skill set. I'd take a look at the DCUO skill planner and compare the two classes tree's and see which ones tickle your fancy or suits your playing style. Personally I love playing a fire tank, its pretty fun to see yourself ...
