To get multiple hits on a boss, there is a small time span just before Donkey Kong punches the boss and just after where you need to start shaking the controller like you would when doing a ground pound. It takes some practice to figure out the right moment to start. If you shake too early or late, you won't get any additional hits. The most hits I've ...

You get it by earning a bronze, silver, gold, or shiny gold medal in time attack mode. You'll get a better medal the faster you finish a level. All you really need to fill in the circle is to get a bronze medal, which is an achievement to be celebrated. Earning a time attack medal doesn't count toward the percent complete number which is shown on the file ...

No there is not. The extra gallery items are the only reward.

No. You only have to collect all the KONG letters and finish a level once to earn that level's KONG star. On subsequent plays of a level, you can ignore the letters. Once you collect all the KONG letters in all the levels of an area/world, you'll unlock a special bonus temple for that area. When trying to find all the KONG letters, you lose any ...

In order to defeat those Pinchin' Pirates, take note of a few things: First, when a crab comes up with their claws, bounce on its head and it'll put it's claws up. Second, when their claws are up (the music changes when this happens, shake-shake), do a ground-pound when they are close by to flip them over and jump on their undersides. Repeat this on the ...

Yes, you can dismount from Rambi -- the exact commands differ depending on what control style you're playing with: While using the combination Wiimote and Nunchuk, press Z or B to dismount Rambi. If you are playing with the Wiimote horizontally, hold down and press 1 to dismount.

You can consecutively jump on enemies. On the third and subsequent bounces, you'll get banana coins. I've read online that when you get to the eighth bounce, you start to get balloons, but I've never gotten that many. A good place to try is level 2-2, Sloppy Sands. After the first checkpoint, look for the squid cannons with a platform above. Killing ...

After completing world 1, Jungle, I went back to find all the puzzle pieces and K•O•N•G letters, and earn a time-attack medal in all the levels. When I found all puzzle pieces and letters in world 1, but before I earned time-attack medals on every level, the hidden 1-K Platform Panic level unlocked/appeared. This leads me to believe that you don't get ...

Since you mentioned you had latency in two games, I suspect the issue is with the sync itself. Try re-syncing your Wii Remote(s) with the console in the following way: Press the Power button on the Wii console to turn it on. Remove the battery cover on the back of the Wii Remote to be synced. Open the SD Card Slot cover on the front of the Wii ...

Levels 7-5, 7-6, and 7-7 have 3 secret switches that must be activated to continue to level 7-R. As per the level 7-5 description from IGN: SECRET SWITCH Ground pound where you see the downward pointing arrow made out of bananas. The wheel will turn and a hatch will open. Down the hatch with you and pound the big red button you find inside. What's it ...

No, there is only the one golden temple level. Completing mirror mode nets you a 200% completion, the remaining gallery unlocks, and bragging rights, but no additional golden temple levels.

The wii's controls are laggy in most games. If you go and play COD on a PC then go back to a wii you'll see it. You hit a button and a slight moment later it responds. Theres lag with all wireless controllers though, and Nintendo needed to have a wired option. Me and my friends tried doing a Super Mario Bros. 1 competition but we all were baffled when we ...

Try to set your TV to "Game mode" (or something similar). I had exactly the same problem with Donkey Kong Country returns. Setting the game mode on my Philips TV solved the problem. After that you should recognize no lag anymore.

It is for the time-attack medals. After you beat a level, you can replay it in time-attack mode. Finish the level fast enough, and you earn a bronze, silver, gold, or shiny gold medal. This medal appears as the third icon.

If I had to venture a guess, I would say no, there are no more hidden levels except for 9-1, but I don't think anybody knows. The only way to find out is to re-beat the game in mirror mode, collecting all the puzzle pieces and K•O•N•G letters again. To be double sure, you'll need to get time attack medals on all regular and mirror levels. To be triple ...

You can retry the level to run a Time-trial. Beating the time on the Time-trial version of the level gives the third badge.

You may already know this, but the method to jumping on multiple enemies is a little different than most platformers. In a Mario game, for example, if you hold down the jump button when you hit an enemy, you'll bounce much higher than if you don't hold the button, and you can just keep the button held down to get the boost on the next enemy too. In DKC:R, ...

The bonus levels are for rare orb balls. If you have all of them you can open the door of the golden temple. You get the golden temple if you kill the endboss. You get the bonus level if you have all of the kong letters in every world.

Actually, collecting all the puzzle pieces will give you mirror mode. All the levels in reverse, no diddy, and dk only has one heart. Good luck with that one!

I don't think there is anything to unlock after you get them. Like Chad said: "Only ulcers and high blood pressure". Did you know there is a Shiny Gold Medal? You get that if you finish in the fastest time possible! And I thought just getting the plain old gold medal was hard… I even asked a Nintendo Representative and all he told me is "Just keep ...
