Final Fantasy IV (the 4th game in the Final Fantasy series) was released for the Super Nintendo in 1991; outside of Japan, this game was initially titled Final Fantasy II. The game known as Final Fantasy II for the Famicom was not released outside of Japan until it was remade for the playstation (in 2003) and ios (in 2010);.
Final Fantasy IV is a role-playing game with up to 5 characters in the party. Several playable characters (including optional characters) who move in and out of the party as the game progresses. The main characters are Cecil, Kain, Rosa and Cid. It features the Active Time Battle system and summoned monsters.
