Final Fantasy VI (the 6th game in the Final Fantasy series) was released for the Super Nintendo in 1994. The game known as Final Fantasy III for the Famicom was not released outside of Japan until it was ported to the (in 2006) and (in 2011); please tag accordingly.

Final Fantasy VI was ported to the in 2003 in the Final Fantasy Anthology, and to the in 2007 as Final Fantasy VI Advance.

Final Fantasy VI is a role-playing game with several playable characters (including optional characters) who move in and out of the party as the game progresses. It features the Active Time Battle system, summons, and the possibility for each character to learn every magic spell in the game by equipping magicite.
