Understanding why this question is somewhat meaningless requires an understanding of how Starcraft 2's network architecture works. In most online games, you have a server and a number of clients. Every client will send all of its actions to the server, and the server will send the result of all those actions to every client. The server is the authority - ...
According to Riot's official description of League of Legends, available here: League of Legends is a session-based, Multiplayer Online Battle-Arena game where rival teams compete against one another for victory on highly stylized battlefields and landscapes. Built by a veteran development team and the original creators of Defense of the Ancients ...
The name seems to be simply : DotA (Defense of the Ancients) since this is this mod who made this genre popular. Wikipedia states that: Alternative terminologies Terms commonly used to refer to the Dota genre include but are not limited to "AoS style games" (Note "Aeon of Strife" a mod in StarCraft), "DotA style games", "DotA based games", "Dota ...
So unlike League of Legends, Heroes of Newerth wasn't just designed to feel like DotA, but to actually be DotA. From Heroes, to items, right down to the default map, it is very much a DotA clone... and S2 was really OK with this. So if you're looking for a gameplay difference, then they're few and far between. There are 22 "new" Heroes, many of whom ...
No it does NOT interrupt channeling abilities. None of Flux's spells contain a mini-stun. Some channeling abilities (like Tempest's ultimate) are interrupted for the simple reason the hero has moved too far from the cast target.
Regarding pulling You can pull the top and bottom medium creep stack (the ones closest to the lanes) at around 15s and 45s of each minute. With the new configuration, top (hellbourne) has much easier pulling potential while bot (legion) has a much harder time. When pulling bottom lane, try to keep the view on the returning neutral creeps by placing yourself ...
Base damage is simply your hero's starting damage (This is your damage done at level one with no items, minus your primary statistic), plus any damage derived from your primary statistic. Say you're playing Artillery, and your items include a Savage Mace and Steamboots, which are cycled to agility. Your Savage Mace gives you only damage (ignoring the ...
To activate Sand Wraiths ultimate, press R. An illusion will be created for every alive enemy hero, and it will follow them around. To swap positions with an illusion, press R again and click on the minimap near where you want to go to. You will swap positions with the illusion closest to where you clicked.
Void Talisman will interrupt channeling afaik (using Void Talisman and then teleporting will break the Void Talisman.) Not interrupting: Assassin's Shroud / Genjuro since it is based on Windwalk. When used before Voodoo Jester's ultimate your hero will get visible again. When used after Voodoo Jester's ultimate your hero becomes and stays invisible for ...
Put the line "cg_usenewshop2" in the appropriate .cfg file, it should be located in My Documents/Heroes of Newerth. setsave should do exactly this, but it's possible that you have your .cfg file in read-only mode which would prevent it from being edited. You might have to change this (right click-->properties-->uncheck Read-Only) to edit the file, too.
Three other decent junglers (but certainly not the only ones): Predator, Puppet Master and Legion. Advance apologies as I haven't played in a few weeks so some of the names of abilities escape me at the moment, BUT, the generic playstyle is correct. With Predator, his passive ability that allows him to leech a % of health with every strike is his main ...
Level one Jungling can be done with a lot of heroes. However, it is not an "all in" approach that warbeast / tempest / pred/ dampeer/legionaire / wildsoul can do. You do need to use lane pulls to pull of Jungling with zephyr from level 1, this isn't the all-in approach The important question isn't at what time you should pull based on the clock, but it ...
shadows and reflections are calculated on cpu, because ray tracing is often done on cpu and hon says that they do it on cpu. anything using the shaders, post process, lights are done on gpu. your pc may be hitting the 95 degres limit and slowing itself down. you can use a power plan which limits the cpu use, you can try going to power settings and setting ...
First, go to the Nvidia Control Panel and try to disable "Threading Optimization" (might be spelled slightly different; I'm using localized drivers) in the 3D settings. On my GTX 680 this option causes even empty/simple drawings (at least in OpenGL) to sometimes utilize 100% CPU load (at least for one core). Once this is done (and there aren't any ...
MOBA is the best suited genre of these games if we go by definition given in wiki Multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA), also known as lords management (LOMA) or action real-time strategy (ARTS), is a sub-genre of the real-time strategy (RTS) genre, in which often two teams of players compete with each other in discrete games, with each player ...
Yes you can archive this by rebinding the button to do the second part. We just need to define the 2 functions the desired key should have and point to each other alias "ShellSurf" "dota_ability_execute 0; alias switcher ShellSurfRelease;" alias "ShellSurfRelease" "dota_ability_execute 3; alias switcher ShellSurf;" alias "switcher" "ShellSurf" bind "key" ...
Alt+Left Click the minimap as if you were pinging, and immediately 'ping' again on another part of the map. It'll draw a white, straight line. You can add a 3rd 'ping' for a 2nd straight line. To my knowledge, the lines cannot be shaped or curved, etc. You also have to give it a few seconds before re-drawing, presumably to prevent people from spamming it.
That is simply the game loading screen. The bars move at different speeds as different people's computer/internet connection allow them to load at different rates. The number you see indicates what order people finished loading in. As you noted in your comment this has no affect on actual game play, other than perhaps allowing you to see who is playing on a ...
Well they definitely have to affected by a DoT (BH ulti is not a DoT, his silence is though). However, I believe there are exceptions to this. For example I believe it's impossible to deny an ally affected by Voodoo Jester's cursed ground even though AFAIK it's a DoT.
Here's an alternative solution, this works a lot better without worrying about the state of the command at all, but it's gonna give you a lot of on-screen messages and cooldown sounds which are not very annoying I think. alias "Skill" "dota_ability_execute 3; dota_ability_execute 0" bind "[key]" "Skill"
You will have to play PvP so you can level up. If you don't, it wont work.
You must play matchmaking matches, only they give XP and silver coins.
For creeps double stacking, pull at '52. You should pull at 16' or 46' if you want to pull neutral creeps against legion/hellbourn creeps, however.
Wildsoul is also a great jungler (his bear can tank quite a lot).
