make sure the port is 7777 and that your using your exact addres. (cmd - ipconfig). Terraria takes little space and should not lagg unless something is terrably wrong. If this does not work try rinstalling the game. The folders may be corrupted.

I believe that you can purchase a wireless adapter for the GBA and see if it would connect with the wireless feature in your DS. I have not tried this yet but I think it might be possible.

Players who chose the same playlist (Core, Hardcore, Bonus, etc.)
Players who chose the same game mode as you (TDM, KC, etc.)
Players who own the same maps as you (that's why owning a DLC map pack can increase matchmaking time)
Players who live close to you (not a connection test, a "real" location ...

You can create a pro club and play on the same team, but that will only allow you to control your individual players. Co-op for online play only works with two players on the same console.

Dependent on the Game-Mode, Prestige levels do not make a difference. CoD creates matches based on the players and not their level - Teams are then 'equally' split to make the game fairer; this is based on prestige and your ratios.
