Drive next to a Sunderer infantry transporter (see below) or ammo supply tower to replenish your ammo. This will also repair any damage on your vehicle. An ammo supply tower. Watch out for the holo-icon on the top. These are easy to miss since the HUD icon blends in nicely with the top, which makes them look like regular, non-usable world objects. The HUD ...

It's the B key. However, before you can deploy a Sunderer you have to unlock the certification to do so. The one you need is the Sunderer Advanced Mobile Station (S-AMS), which costs 50 cert points. Don't forget to also equip the upgrade on the vehicle customization screen after unlocking it. You can only deploy when the Sunderer is stationary, on ...

The only ground unit which has an effective anti-air weapon without investing cert points or real money is the MAX unit. Heavy assaults can also damage aircrafts with their LMG and rocket launcher. But the LMG inflicts only minuscule damage against them, so they are only a threat for a pilot when there are a lot of them. And the default launcher's rockets ...

All bases are capped the same way: You get people on the control point and then the capture bar slowly removes the enemies control and then fills up for your faction. Once it's full, the base is yours. You can capture a base with only 2 out of 3 or in extreme cases even 1 out of 3 control points if your influence is high enough. To speed up capturing, have ...

You can't use the main entrance on the ground, but there are two other ways to enter. The first option is to use an aircraft and land at the pads of the base (preferably with a Galaxy and some friends). There is a small entrance which can be passed by infantery that doesn't have any shields. Or you can use one of the teleporters found at the small ...

If you are specifically asking about the NS Annihilator you can't because the weapon can lock on to flying and ground vehicles. But the other lock on weaponary that let you lock on to only 1 kind flying/ground those can definitly dumbfire. According to the wiki: The NS Annihilator has no dumbfire speed, but the ASP-30 Grounder does for example

Planetside 2 is a teamgame. On your own, you are always an easy target against ESF - Empire Specific Fighters, i.e. Scythe, Mosquitos and Reavers - and Liberators. You need to work together with a squad to deter aircraft, otherwise your best bet is to hide in a building and hope they go away. Apart from friendly ESF, Burster MAXes are currently the most ...

Deconstruct just removes your vehicle. This prevent enemy's from getting point by destroying it. Killing a flash should give 25 XP and by deconstructing it you can prevent the enemy from getting that XP. Now Flash isnt that big of a deal but other vehicles can cost a fortune. Deconstructing does NOT reset or lower the cooldown and also does not return any ...

If you have a friend with another tank nearby, you can try pushing the tank either into an obstacle or down a cliff and hope that it turns around again. However, the more likely result is that it blows up and probably takes your friends tank with it. The best solution is to just abandon it and pull another one.

All weapons lose damage over distance, though it depends on the actual weapon on at what range they reach their minimum damage. This PS2 Weapon Data Sheet gives the minimum damage distances of all infantry weapons. The damage in between degrades lineary, i.e. every meter decreases the damage by the same amount until the minimum damage is reached. In ...

To apply them, open the pause menu, go to the vehicle tab, select the vehicle you want to customize, and choose a loadout: Then pick "Apperance": Then go to the decal tab, pick the decal you want, return to the game, and spawn a vehicle with that loadout. To get more decals, click "Get More". That will take to you to this screen where you can filter to ...

Your weapons will be locked if you continue friendly fire. This can be between 1 and 30 minutes, however, you will not know how close you are to having your weapons locked. The only way you can tell you're getting closer to that moment are the messages. After several messages, you will have your weapons locked. As far as i know, there are no other ...

Since resources and vehicle timers are only bound to yourself, the only thing you have to fear is the laughter of your teammates. Spawning a vehicle does not prevent anyone else from spawning a vehicle so don't hesitate to spawn them as often as you want to get some practice. Just try not to ram into friendly vehicles, especially ramming into friendly ...

You do not purchase helmets, you purchase skins for your helmet. There is no stat effect from any of the skins for any piece of equipment or vehicle other than possibly helping you blend in to your surroundings when you are trying to be covert about your actions (white clothing on snow, green clothing on grass, etc.). This may help you not get noticed and ...

You don't need to play much to be competitive, just enough to build the right muscle memory for whatever class you find the most fun to play, which usually takes a few hours daily for a week for solid performance; longer if you can't play as much, obviously. Upgrades help - a lot - but certification points are easy to get. You get about 16 per (real-time) ...

Along with Alextsc's answer there are some launchers that are on top of or around outlying buildings in the area that will sling you to the aircraft spawn points of the dome. I'll post a pic of one later as I'm at work currently.

ESF have no hitzones, so no matter where you hit you always do the same amount of damage. You can expose any side you want. Source: PS2 Calculator Bonus: In Planetside 2, the fastest way to turn is to roll 90° into the opposite direction of where you want to turn, then pitch down, i.e. towards the belly of the ESF, and yaw in the direction of your turn.

I don't want to delete/change the old answer since it still might be useful for other people, even if it wasn't the correct answer in this case. I flagged it as community wiki. I googled for the problem and found a solution. You have to change the language in the launcher to anything else (possibly accepting the EULA again by clicking the green button) and ...

There is no safe place to place vehicles if you want to leave them, so the best way is to just abandon them where they are not in the way of other vehicles, i.e. somewhere on the side of the road away from ammo towers and vehicle spawns. For one-man transportation, the Flash is the best choice since the resource cost and spawn timer are so low that you ...

You can not control the "reinforcements needed" tab, it is fully automatical and the algorithm is not known. However, as squad leader you can get access to the command chat for 100 certs. In command chat you can talk to all other squad leaders on all continents and request reinforcements that way. Default key is Numpad7 for the voice chat and /leader for ...

Here are the rules that decide what spawn locations appear in the deployment list: You can always spawn at your faction's warpgate. You can spawn at any Sunderers within 1000m. If your faction controls the outpost in the area where you died, you can spawn there. If your faction controls any neighbouring outposts, you can spawn there. (On lattice-based ...

The answer was a bit more obvious after I respawned at my warpgate. Just re-spawn at your warpgate (type /suicide in the chat box) and you'll see two computers where you can change continents by pressing E:

You have two options: you can delete your existing character (and all his unlocks) and create him again on the same server as a different faction, or, you can keep him, and create a new character on a different server as a different faction, starting at 0 certs again. Keep in mind you only get 3 character slots, though you may be able to buy additional ...

By design there is no end to the game. Factions can be pushed back to the warpgate but, no matter what, there will never be a victory. This won't ever change in the future either. It is one of the main points of the game and the one people have the hardest time to get used to. A common question is: "If there is no 'victory', what is there to fight for?" and ...
