You can. Your characters are stored in Documents\My Games\Terraria\Players. To copy a character, you only need the .plr file. Usually they're consecutively numbered in the order they're displayed on the character selection screen, but this isn't always the case. You can use an inventory viewer (for example, TerrariViewer) to make sure you've got the right ...

Skyrim puts its saves in the following directory in Windows Vista & Windows 7: C:\Users\[UserName]\Documents\My Games\Skyrim\Saves Skyrim puts saves in the following directory in Windows XP: C:\Documents and Settings[UserName]\My Documents\My Games\Skyrim\Saves These files are not dependent on anything so you can freely share them across ...

Yes, the progress is automatically saved and synced to the Steam Cloud individually - so when you next join a co-op game it will have stored which levels you have completed. This also means that your progress is shared across any computer you play Portal 2 on. It's worth noting that progress is never saved during a test chamber though, only upon successful ...

As the Minepedia mentions, your save files are in: ~/Library/Application Support/minecraft/saves/ If you were running Linux, it'd just be: ~/.minecraft/saves If you were running Windows, instead, it'd be: %APPDATA%\.minecraft\saves\ In all cases, you can reach the correct folder easily with your file manager of choice using this little trickery: ...

This should work for Skyrim just like it does for other games: For PC to PC, you can go to the "User/Documents/My Games/Skyrim" folder and simply copy the "Saves" folder from one machine to the corresponding folder on the other machine. For XBox 360, here's a guide on how to transfer saved games: Put your OLD hard drive into your new XBox 360 Log ...

If a Steam game supports Steam Cloud, savegames are automatically synced with Steam servers and are available on other computers if you log in with your Steam account. It does not necessarily store all your savegames, e.g. with Civilization V you have 10 savegame slots on Steam Cloud, so when you save a game you have to choose to save there, else the ...

Yes, all models of the PS3 are backwards compatible with the PS1. Only some models are backwards compatible with the PS2. You can save your games to the PS3 HDD, or (if you need to import old saved games) you can buy an adapter. The adapter costs about $30 and is available on Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/PlayStation-3-Memory-Card-Adaptor/dp/B000K1GZIU

Some PlayStation 3 games have locked game-saves which means their game-saves are tied to the system itself. The result is that if you backup these files in a USB or an external HDD, you won't be able to use them in another system. (This is most likely done through encryption). Here's a list of games with locked game-saves. As the list states, games without ...

There is no universal way to do this with all cartridges. Some games have some hidden command to erase data. An example is Pokemon Ruby (GBA) where you need to hold Select + Up + B to get an option to clear game data. In Mario Kart Super Circuit (GBA) you need to hold L + R + B + start when turning on the GBA. If the game doesn't have the option to erase ...

Minecraft's data files are in a proprietary file format called NBT (named binary tag). The best general-purpose NBT editor I know of is the appropriately named NBTedit.

Yes. Use MCEdit. You can copy the section in your old map, and save it as a schematic, which you can then import and place into a new world (generated with Minecraft by starting a new game), overwriting what was there before. Make sure Minecraft is closed while you are using MCEdit, otherwise you can corrupt your map.

I may have found the answer. I didn't realize that it makes use of the Flash player data directory instead of somewhere more logical, like the Documents or Steam folder. Machinarium forums Long story short...if you are regularly using something like Ccleaner to clear out your temp files, then your save games will get blown away.

I have several other UbiSoft games that use this very same DRM, but not Assassin's Creed 2. Here's what happens in those other games when I lose internet connectivity. The game inexplicably freezes with no error message. After several moments (I'd guess about 1 - 2 minutes) a message finally appears on the screen telling me that "UbiSoft's servers have ...

It took some time but the answer is; Fact: Yes, steam will store your saves in "the cloud" and they'll be accessible from another computer if you log in. RANT: That said, they'll lose your last 2 saves and you'll have to replay the last 10 minutes of play - this is because Steam is unreliable... Fact: If you don't let steam synchronise or DX:HR crashes as ...

They are stored on your local computer. If you play the online mode from separate computers, you will either need separate saves or you will need to manually move the saves over. The downloadable version and the online version use the same saves, however, so you can switch back and forth between those and you will be able to continue to play the same game. ...

Once you complete a test chamber the game marks it as completed by you forever. When you return to the "hub", you can access all the levels of the player with the most progress. For example if P1 has just started and P2 is up to chapter 3, you can play all levels up to P2's chapter 3 progression. You can continue a chapter from test chamber by selecting ...

Steam game files and game saves are two different subjects. You can copy the Steam folder altogether to the new HD and then do the following: - delete everything except SteamApps folder and Steam.exe - run Steam.exe. This will make it re-sync with the Steam Cloud and download everything again and recognize the "just" installed games. Some games have their ...

The save button is not useless. In Titan Quest, your game is saved whenever you find one of the fountains and save at it. But you can update your quest status and other such details in the current save by using the "Save" button as you play before you reach the next fountain. So, for example, let's say you find a fountain, and it saves your progress. You ...

The game intentionally does not allow you to quit without saving (or abandoning) and doesn't allow you to have more than one save per fort. The idea is that there is no going back. Losing is supposed to be fun. However, you can get around this problem with a little trickery. Save the game. Then make a copy of your game folder. Then keep playing. If you ...

That's exactly the situation I was in. Yes, you can use Fallout 3 savegames (boxed) with Fallout 3 GOTY (steam) (if you had any mods installed in your original install, it will tell you "Some features of this savegame are no longer available. These features will be disabled." - my savegames still worked perfectly though) I had to move the save files to ...

You might not like this answer, but if you didn't have a PSN account in April, you won't qualify for the freebies. If you have only just purchased your PS3, then this will be the case, and you should just keep the disc. On the other hand, if you do qualify for the freebies, then yes--the games should share the data. I base this on the example of Dead ...

Games with Steam Cloud support may save games to Steam servers. You can see if a game has Steam Cloud support by checking if it has the Cloud icon beside it in Steam's Library List View. Unfortunately, even if a game has Steam Cloud support, that game may not save games via Steam Cloud and might only store things like keybindings or other settings. It also ...

There's no built in method to move only your games (SteamApps) directory. Your best bet is to move your entire Steam installation to your desired location. Valve has a support article that details the steps involved in the entire procedure, along with some important warnings: Moving a Steam Installation and Games

No It is not possible to move your WiiWare and Virtual Games from one console to another, as the information is tied to the actual hardware of the console. Only Nintendo itself is able to move your WiiWare and Virtual Console Games to another brand-new Wii system during a repair or in case of a replacement due to theft.

Yup, you can actually use up to a 16GB USB Storage Device for use with your XBox 360, assuming it has the software update that went out in Spring of 2010: Connect the USB device to a USB port on your console. Go to My Xbox, and then select System Settings. Select Memory. On the Storage Devices screen, select USB Storage Device. Configure the storage ...

The closest thing I could find to what was described was Wiisave.com, however I also found save upload sections on File Planet. While I also did find a few forum posts about individual games, and one about a whole series of systems, I honestly don't think anything that can store saves for every game, on every system, and index them properly exists. I also ...

Nope, you're up the creek. Save game files are locked to the region of the disk (at least in the cases I've dealt with). You could try logging a support request with the developer to see if they can help you out. Some game saves are locked to region, others to the PSN account name, and I'

Nope, sorry. I've run into this myself and you can't get the saved games from the Ubisoft servers, you will have to start anew with the campaign in offline mode to not depend on their servers which right now may be lacking stability. They are very well known for this DRM, see Assassins Creed 2, which unfortunately didn't offer an offline mode like HOMM 6.
