Real-time strategy game released by Gas Powered Games and Square Enix. The sequel to Supreme Commander.

Created by the Chris Taylor who also programmed in 1997, it has much of the same style of gameplay and ideas but at the same time is a more conventional .

Supreme Commander 2 replaces 's three tech tiers of factories with a research system, allowing it to have fewer types of units. Another major change is that building no longer causes a slow drain of resources, but rather deducts the cost immediately from your reserve, like most other strategy games. Experimental units are not so expensive nor powerful as in the previous game, and unit veterancy is much more powerful, especially after a March 2013 patch.

The game runs on the Steam platform. Available on the PC and XBOX 360.
