Character Transfer was made available on June 25, 2013 with Patch 2.2.1. To transfer your character to another server, simply go to https://account.swtor.com/user/account/transfer and follow the instructions. The cost is 1800 Cartel Coins per transfer, or about $13. This is what the initial page says: Your account... ...must be in good ...

Once you reach the cap, anything you gain over that amount is wasted/discarded/ignored. Negative affection will immediately drop it down by the amount of the negative affection change. But you can always bring it back up again later. A few hundred lost here or there isn't going to change the effects too much (the companion mission speed, etc.) though. So I ...

You'll have everything from your Legacy on the new server (unlocks, level, etc.) and the old should be unaffected. It will combine things if you have different Legacies (i.e., a character already on the new server) with different unlocks so you get the best of both worlds, including the higher Legacy level. For slightly more detail see Dulfy on Reddit.

Orange gear is somewhat of a relic from when the Armor/Mod/Enhancement's couldn't be changed in Purple gear (which may still be the case for some items, sets). Orange gear with all Purple mods should be equivalent to Purple gear with the same mods.

Humanoid Companions use the look of their equipped gear, just like player characters. The quest is simply offering a different set of (as you noticed) identical armor, so that your Vette can have some variety from the other 30 Vettes currently running around Korriban. Here's picture comparisons (found via ToRHead): Slicing on left, Civilian Outfit is ...

It is set around 300 years after the events of KOTOR (placed at 3956 BBY), which puts it around 3600 years before the events of the original trilogy. 3653 BBY is the most common date, however the storyline of the game expands both before and after that. There are books that explain the back story of the game, as well as games. However, obviously these ...

The list is randomized every time you load a new area, or when a current mission completes, from a set list containing all types. There is no timer or cool down; if you stay in one area and do not run missions the list will not change. So if you want to get a particular mission, you'll have to log out and back in (or zone somewhere fast like your ship to ...

In SWtoR, there are four primary armour types: light, medium, heavy and adaptive. Adaptive is special in that it is automatically the heaviest that your class can use. That is, if you're a Consular/Inquisitor, it is light, if you're a Vanguard/Juggernaught, it is heavy, and so on. Once upon a time, before adaptive armour, all custom armour sets such as ...

"Retry mission" is free, but if you back out and try the same mission again you'll need to pay again (since the game keeps you at the last planet you were at).

Treek can be either a Tank or a Healer. As a healer she (yes, she!) is at least on par with other healing companions, but she really shines as a tank compared to all other tank comps. She uses taunts intelligently and has better threat generation in general. She has affection conversations, but no associated quests. The conversations differ based on your ...

It isn't that you being disrupted will reset the cool down on Force Charge. It is that using Force Charge will reset the cool down on your Disruption ability.

3

No, it doesn't. The dummy is equivelant to what you can find on the fleet ship. It just has the sort of resistances, armour stats, etc. that you could expect to find on a mob in Operations, so that you can estimate / tune your build for DPS.

Yes you can use PvP Relics for PvE. The Obroan relics are actually pretty good compared to the PvE relics. At this point the Dread Forged relics are the BiS relics. After that comes the Obroan(pvp) Relic.

I haven't played for a while, but as far as I know adaptive armors are wearable by every class and adapt to the armor type your class uses. You just have to upgrade your Armoring slot to increase it's armor value. You can think of it as a cosmetic armor where you can just take the modifications from another armor and put it into the adaptive one. Or if you ...

This may not have been the case at the time. But it appears bioware/EA have partnered with amazon as they sell cartel coin codes which come with a free gift (read : cosmetic/noncombat companion). Source- http://www.amazon.com/Star-Wars-The-Old-Republic/dp/B00DIIZ15A

No, there are not enough conversation options. I've just started maxing her myself. I don't think four types of gifts are particularly few, though. However, you might be able to raise her affection through repeatable quests. Several of the Belsavis dailies have choices that affect companion affection, for example. But it will be slow!

At the Basic Gear Vendor(Lord Galall) there is Black Market Bulwark's MK-1 Gear. About the stats. It doesn't really matter that much with black Market gear which defensive stats you are using. This matters more in higher Operations. If you really want "defense" you can buy gear from other basic gear vendor en pull out the enhancements and/or mods.

There is no real difference between orange rarity gear and purple rarity gear other than the item's rarity (which, as you've rightly pointed out, is a little dubious since you can purchase the items from a vendor). However, at higher levels you may find that some purple gear cannot be modified, while orange gear can always be modified.

Looks like the JA-3. Unfortunately there's no way to acquire that one if you don't already have it. It was given as a reward during the Join the Battle subscription drive last fall, so the only way to have it is to have been a subscriber at the end of October 2013. Note that the Hyrotii Racer uses the same model with an orange & black color scheme, ...

Take a look at your hangar and pick complementary loadouts/companions. You can be successful with a wide array of them however so there really is no specific advice to give you. While some of the unlockable things will give you an edge, they are largely "different" rather than "better". On that note, be sure to try different ship styles and see what suits ...

You can get relics like that from Operations, or from Artifice crafters who have learned the schematics. I am mostly sure that the end game commendation vendors do not sell relics, but you can get some Arkanian level relics from the Oricon storyline (level 55) as well as Dread Guard relics from Classic comms. I should also note that the Unranked PvP relics ...

It is quite a long answer, so I'll refer you to a guide. It is from Dulfy, and is very trustworthy. If I remember correctly, I used this guide too when I wanted the companion. Good luck! This is a very quick list of what you have to do: Complete mission: Fatal Errors (Empire) | The Fatality (Republic)– Heroic 2+ (starts in Section X) Complete ...

Everything from the Cartel Market has a 36-hour period (longer for F2P) after you claim it during which it is bound to the character that purchased it. After that, it becomes Bind on Equip/Use or otherwise tradeable/sellable. Using the item at any point makes it bound permanently. The same thing happens when you open a Cartel Pack or Cartel gear ...

There are no files that you need to back up. The serial number and activation code that you used to activate the application the first time will be same code you enter when you set it up again.

First, just in case you weren't sure: finishing Act 2 with a character unlocks their faction-appropriate base-class buff for all your characters, including characters of the opposite faction. Any Republic characters you make will get the Knight buff in addition to their regular buff, and if you decide to level a Consular (for example), your Juggernaut will ...

Generally, the way to get Artifact level blueprints is to craft and reverse-engineer the existing crafted items to get first blue, then purple recipes. Unfortunately, the doesn't seem to be green or blue blueprints for the mod items at Mark 31 or higher. The only way I can see getting them is acquiring Underworld gear, and then removing the components ...

I would also say, practise practise and practise. It's not that one ship is better than the other. You can be good with every ship as long as you practise enough with your ship. On youtube you can find different video's on how to do GSF.

Nothing over the cap is stored, and just like alignment, you can still go dark side / disaffection if you wish after being all the way light side / full affection.

Diego is correct, but the devs are kinda liars. The exact server limit is 22, which I don't consider ridiculously high by any means. The total allowance of 350 characters across all servers is indeed quite high, however. I got 16 on my server via the merge of 2 servers where I had 8 each. The devs have confirmed that I'd need to buy the extra 4 (over 12) ...

I quit before lvl 55 was the cap, but unless it is actually stated in the description, it should work in a PvE environment. In the old days most people were using PvP relics to raid because they were a lot better then the PvE ones. Then BioWare ofcourse started making decent PvE relics. I cant provide you with any proof to back this up, but they worked in ...
