About

Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines was released by the now-defunct Troika games in 2004, the first game to use Valve's Source engine.

An RPG played in White Wolf's "World of Darkness" universe, the game had the player take the rule of a newly-created vampire becoming involved in the supernatural underground of Los-Angeles. Praised by critics but marred by countless bugs, the game was not a financial success and ultimately led to the development studio, Troika games, getting closed down.

Since then, fan patches have fixed most problems, and the game can now be enjoyed as it should have originally been.
