comment Upconverting older consoles' output for HDTVs
+1. Great question, inspite of the downvote. And, yes, there certainly is hardware for this. It just depends on the desired effect. See my answer.

Got it. Thanks for clarifying.

To be sure, the non-WotL version is the original that was released on the PSX? Were there any changes made to that version (even slight ones?)

I italicized the portion of my post that mentions this. Lol, I find it interesting that it looks like you've taken a screen cap of either FF II or FF III, and I mentioned that these settings were in the Final Fantasy games.

And, this is exactly what I said in my first paragraph-- the option is most likely (and should be) located within the game, if that is what the original contained. Sorry if I seem a little agitated-- I just got a down vote and I said the same thing. :/

I don't have time at the moment but you can see if your game store has a search local inventory online feature. If you live in a bigger city, you may have quite a few GameStops or other outlets. IF you can search online, you may be able to place one that you need without having to drive around town. I mention GameStop because even if you don't live in America, there is a fair chance that whatever chain that is in your area is probably owned by the same parent company and may have this feature in your area.

Assuming your unit is rather old and considerably dusty, you may want to purchase a cooling unit for your PS3 after you clean it out. They can be picked up from your local Video Game store and some general merchandise stores for as little as $25.

comment Is there any way to make Logitech Revolution MX scrolling sensible in OS X?
I work in an office with a few Macs, and some of the users around here use Logitech mice. The problem with many of them (that work with both Windows and Mac) is that they behave a little inconsistent-- even between use in OS X and Windows 7, through Parallels. There might be an answer to your question, however, there is a good chance that this may be a bug that you have to live with.
