comment MC 1.9: Chunk Loader for Redstone Circuits?
It's pretty involved, but if that pseudo-chunk loader works in modern MC, then this is a great answer to the problem. +1 :)

comment MC 1.9: Chunk Loader for Redstone Circuits?
The distance is 1000 blocks. Spawn chunks have to be within 128 blocks of the spawn. This clearly can't be solved with spawn chunks. Reopening.

comment How do you prevent admins/ops on vanilla minecraft server to change gamemodes?
Another option would be to de-op them and place strategic /tp command blocks in the world instead.

comment If one block in the nether is 8 blocks in the overworld, does that make the nether smaller than the overworld?
@Ghalid, +1, but it's not correct to say that the dimensions are theoretically infinite. The precision of 64 bit floating point limits the maximum size to not much more than the default world border, even if a world border didn't exist.

The /worldborder get returns the width of the world border. That's why you get the 60M. The coords go from -30M to +30M, centred at 0, by default. Nice test btw, @MrLemon.

comment What is the correct name to use with /give for Lapis Lazuli?
@user45623 - no problem, glad we both could help. Yes, the 'minecraft' bit is not needed because that's the default namespace. I included it for clarity though, because it's unambiguous then. By the way, you can use /help to get the summary of any command, if you forget (this one is not particularly obvious, I have to admit).

comment Minecraft lightning strike inside building
This is a good answer, but not entirely correct. The wiki source you quote states that the "target block must be able to see sky". Although the area of effect can still get you, "the bottom edge (is) 3 below the target block". I read that as if you were more than 3 blocks below your external ceiling, above ground, you would be fine. What do you think?

comment Why did Mojang remove “Super Secret Settings”?
@Tim S - that's a pretty narrow viewpoint. The rationale for both of these decisions is freely discoverable online, and the question is entirely answerable.

comment How big is the Minecraft universe compared to real life?
-1: This is not correct at all. i) The Minecraft world is not infinite. ii) Where do you get 1 yard from?
