revised Should I assign dwellers to the storage room?
fixed terminology and adjusted wording

comment Should I assign dwellers to the storage room?
In addition to the obvious use of Nuka Cola bottlers, endurance is a relatively universal ability. While it won't improve your dwellers' job performance, it will help keep them alive, and thus is a very important skill for your explorers and for dwellers working near the vault entrance (and fighting lots of raiders/deathclaws).

comment What is the maximum number of guards that can be assigned to the vault door room fully upgraded?
I also read that note about having "only 4" dwellers at the vault door and I upgraded all the way hoping to use it. Even when outnumbered, a high-stat, high-level, well-armed dweller can hold his own and delay the enemies while you sort out the subsequent rooms.

comment Is there any danger in using the Fatman?
Despite the firing animation, I'm not sure that the Fatman deals damage any more slowly than other weapons. Even when I've had dwellers alone in rooms with enemies and taking damage (which makes them play a wounded animation instead of firing), I've still noticed those enemies die a lot sooner than they otherwise would. This makes me wonder if attacks and damage are somewhat separate from the animations and if combat is more regular over time.

comment Fallout shelter special training
Can confirm that the game keeps track of dwellers' training progress. I'm not certain if it does if a dweller goes exploring and returns, but I imagine it would.

comment How to quickly identify who carries which weapon?
I recommend you send out a couple of poorly equipped dwellers and scramble up a few bad guns. Also, try to keep completing missions to keep them flowing, and always try to find lunchbox missions. Getting a decent weapon from an early lunchbox will make a huge difference to your game.

comment What is “Tread Switching” and how can lower ranked players utilize it?
I disagree that the effects are miniscule. Sure, switching ALL the time is hard to learn, but being aware that you can switch can change games even at low level. As you mentioned, when you don't have quite enough mana for a spell (e.g. a stun or a teleport), quickly switching to int and maybe having enough then can really make a difference. Being able to do something vs nothing can make a massive difference, even if constant (pro-level) switching for every spell, hit, and regen is beyond you.

comment Does the cost of reviving a dweller ever change? If so, how much?
Mr Handy is always 2000 caps, and I don't think he levels up.

comment What are some signs I should send out more explorers?
Really great extension with a lot of experience behind it. As an extra note, I typically send out explorers with 25 stimpacks and 5 rad-aways, and I've never had an explorer run out on rads before stims. Once they're up on endurance, they hardly take any radiation damage. The damage they take in combat will largely depend on how good their weapon is - I can send my fat man guy for 4 days at a time (22-24ish damage) but my dwellers with lesser weapons run out of stims at half that.

comment Are mushrooms dangerous in Dwarf Fortress?
As Raven says, once you hit the caverns you might notice fungus sprouting up on your farm levels. The worst is when fungus-trees grow in your water ducts and block them up!
