Modern Warfare 3 crashes my computer in the middle of game To be honest, I think this is kind of a waste of time -- he already tried disabling on-board sound and using an external USB sound headset. That should, at least if @carlo did it right, definitively rule out the on-board audio because it isn't being used. |

Modern Warfare 3 crashes my computer in the middle of game there are rumblings of some very obscure sound chipset incompatibilities in some games. If you have access to an externally connected USB sound device (headset, etc) try using that and disabling the on-board sound to see if the problem goes away. |

How do you make a backup of save games and patches? this is either too broad (how do I back up any game on PC?) or combining two things that are dissimilar and utterly disjoint (how do I back up random completely different game #1 and #2?) I guess we'll try for the broad version. |

What is Skill in Battlefield 3? this definitely penalizes those players who rank up fast (spend more time playing, etc), since they're going to be encountering lower level people almost all the time by definition... but over time it should settle down as those who play, all rank up to "near" the same levels. |

What good is the “Support” class in Battlefield 3? How do you play it effectively? mortar -- available only to support -- is also great for digging out a team of snipers. That really should be mentioned here. |

Battlefield 3 keeps crashing it is unclear if you are referring to singleplayer or multiplayer. If MP, it is "normal" for the game to crash every so many hours. |

Does Kinect work with a projector? @bud the projector is 8 feet above the ground, per the diagram. You can stand in the middle of the room easily without blocking it. |

Why do video game framerates need to be so much higher than TV and cinema framerates? @tzenes it is relevant because 24fps is pretty much unplayable in any kind of game where you need rapid response (FPS, etc) and yet movies seem fine with that framerate. The whole FPS debate comes up a zillion times a year and there needs to be a canonical answer. |
