Nov 21	comment	Why do video game framerates need to be so much higher than TV and cinema framerates? the title of the question is "Why do video game framerates need to be so much higher than TV and cinema framerates?" and doesn't really care about 60fps. I think the answers below this one actually answer the question, whereas this one answers a question that wasn't asked -- about the historical changes in film and video (vcr, etc) frame rates. It is by no means a bad answer but it really doesn't answer the question as asked.
Nov 21	comment	Is it possible to use the new Rock Band 3 instruments cross-console? the only controller that worked this way was the $299 Fender Squier Stratocaster, which has since been discontinued. It had a generic midi out, and you had to buy one of the platform specific midi dongles (Xbox/PS3/Wii) to connect it to your console. Nothing else to date like this.

I agree with all the criticisms of this answer; it's largely unsourced and mostly does not address the original question, which was about games and 60fps not the general topic of 60fps vs 24fps in movies.

Nov 19	comment	How do I effectively fight Brutes? the upgraded dual-wield pistols are very good; I suggest going all the way to level 4 on your pistols and getting dual-wield pretty early. One gets armor piercing bullets, the other (the default Saints gun) gets explosive bullets. Explosives are generally better for Brutes IMHO as they aren't typically armored, just have a ton of health.
Nov 18	comment	Why does it take so long for the support class to re-supply rockets/mines/etc? @MichaelPryor I don't think anyone has documented this. But anecdotally I have noticed that regular gun ammo has to fill first before explosives will even begin to fill. So the supply crate can used up on just rifle ammo .. it is possible, because that always goes first.

Nov 16	comment	Why does it take so long for the support class to re-supply rockets/mines/etc? not only that, but I believe explosive resupply "uses up" the supply crate faster too at which point it disappears. So the support guy will need to drop another supply crate even faster!

This confuses a lot of folks because it's the default perk on tanks. But that's not always so as you unlock additional perks.. and repair must be unlocked, for example, on the IFV and AA vehicles.

It would be extremely unfair, even if the maps were identical, because mouse offers a much higher level of aiming precision than is possible with a thumbstick.

Nov 1	comment	What's the point of being squad leader? @SSumner in hardcore mode you can only spawn on the squad leader, although this is also a standalone server setting that can be toggled on or off -- you're most likely to see it working on a hardcore server.
