comment How do I efficiently grind skills?
Is killing ten slimes between floors 5 and 10 equivalent to killing 10 slimes between floors 115 and 120? Do different rocks give different mining XP? Do you get mining XP for picking up gems? Do you get foraging XP for growing wild seeds, or for picking wild grown seeds? Do you get foraging XP for picking berries? Do you get more XP if you have the extra berry perks? Do you get fishing XP for fishing up trash? Do you get different fishing XP for catching different fish?

comment How do I get a good night's sleep?
There might be a caveat missing - I collapsed at 2:00 AM just inside my doorway the night before a festival, and woke up the next morning in my bed with full energy. It seems like you either get full energy the next day regardless for festivals, or something weird happens if you collapse in your house.

Exactly, this is why I haven't accepted the answer. I'd like a firmer bound than "past midnight", and I'm pretty sure I've gone to bed exhausted without getting the penalty before...

comment If you fail a timed quest, are you penalized?
The way I think of it is, they put up a sign on the board saying "hey can someone bring me a thing by date?" and the PC simply takes note of it. If you don't bring a thing to them by date, they're not going to dislike you specifically for it - they don't know you wrote that quest down in your journal, after all.

comment How do I advance past the quest Forging Alliances in Stick of Truth?
Just to make sure: do you have a quest in your list called "Recruit the Goth Kids", with a subquest called "Noncomformist"? And you're talking to the hobo beneath the big U-Stor-It sign?

Sounds like real life arguments, just go in circles until the other person gives up!

comment How do I know what a character has seen?
Oh well that's silly, I'm not even in the house at this point. I guess he's just perceptive enough to see this through the window.

What does ">3rd" mean, coming off of the boss node in the lower-left?

comment How many endings are in the 2013 edition of The Stanley Parable?
I would disagree that this is actually an ending, as the game does not in fact end nor does it in any way indicate that this might be some sort of an ending.

comment How can I automate the hacking minigame?
@badp Good idea, you should turn it in to a phone app and leverage the built-in camera!

comment How can I automate the hacking minigame?
@badp Now all you need to do is capture a screenshot from the currently running Fallout game, run it through OCR, parse it for password attempts...

comment Why is my character feeling sad?
@James Well, they're usually thinking "how much can I get for that butterfly..." - it takes a lot of thought to do instant appraisals :)

comment Why are some units able to move every turn?
It's not just opponents - since he's got a Frostbeard he's probably playing Growth, and Growth has an enchantment called Dryadic Power which buffs your creature but makes it unable to move. Since Dryadic Power adds a lot of health to a creature, it would be a good enchantment to play on the 1-health Frostbeard.

comment What is 4D about Antichamber?
@elijaheac I was unaware that anything was explicitly stated in the game :) however, I would argue that it's the most "hey look 4d" thing in there.

comment Prevent kids from “accidentally” making purchases in Steam
@AdrianoVaroliPiazza It's not though; it sounds like bobobobo wants Steam to remember billing information, just require a password in order to use it. Whipping out your credit card is a much larger impediment to buying something than remembering the "buy stuff" password.

Or just tell Steam to not remember your credit card information. It helps curb impulse purchases of games you never play, too :)

comment What can I do if there are no portals near me in Ingress?
@kalina A portal location I submitted on March 5th was accepted Monday of last week (May 13th), which means a turnaround time of about 2.5 months :(

comment How can I improve my ratings?
One thing you missed is that in this game, the player is always competing against their previous high score (a value which is not shown to the player). If you make two excellent games in a row, the second one will have a poor rating - because it doesn't exceed the previous game's score. You get a higher game score by doing the things in the bullet points, but by itself this is not a guarantee of good review scores.
