I'm a computational-neuroelectrophysiologist-by-training turned functional imaging researcher who loves to use MATLAB at work as well as for my hobby (designing video games). I've used MATLAB and C for almost 14 years, and I'm also familiar with IDL, MPI, C++, and smatterings of Java and Ruby.

What are the benefits of venturing into the Nether? One key point... if you can't buy the Eye of Ender from a villager, then the only way to make it is with blaze powder crafted from blaze rods in the Nether. In short, no Nether == no way to get to The End. |

Torches in a 1x2 tunnel @ratchetfreak: Assuming you never deviate from a perfectly flat floor, then yes. If you start digging up, say to avoid lava, then the reach of the water can be extended. |

Torches in a 1x2 tunnel Just one word of warning about placing torches on the floor... If you happen to mine into a source of water (like an underground lake) be prepared to replace all the torches that get washed away by the water flow. |
