comment Embassy: will it be demolished?
I thought it never gets dismantled as long as you control the province. Curious for someone to check this

comment What good do colonies do for my domain?
I almost tend to say yes, though I think there is not really a answer. It pretty much comes down to what you want to play. If you really hate colonies, don't bother with the Americas - it's inefficient to only create a small base, as it can be overwhelmed by other powers easily. A substantial colonial force, however, could defend itself properly.

comment Nearest unblockaded core province with a port. How is this computed?
@Sunspawn I think an actual dock is required, I had the exact problem as OP myself (not sure if same island tho) and building a dock seemed to fix it, I recall. Maybe OP could comment if this answer fixed his problem, too (it was accepted, so I guess it did). I don't have EU4 installed right now, I'll try to test it later. Of course if you tested it, let me know. Or is there is another aspect to this that we missed?

comment Why is trade blocked between Gulf of Aden and Alexandria?
Oh, I see it now. Sorry. That is indeed strange. -- I'll leave this answer up in case anyone wonders about the scenario I described, even though it does not apply to your question sadly.

Or did I completely misunderstand you? I'm a bit confused

comment Why is trade blocked between Gulf of Aden and Alexandria?
You mean, because Alexandria is listed, but with an amount of 0.0? I see. That may be a bit confusing, but it's technically correct - nobody (in particular not you) is using a merchant to steer in that direction, so it is zero. That Alexandria is listed at all is probably to help you notice that you can steer in that direction, if you want (and put a merchant there).

comment My heir is unfit for the throne. How can I make him aware of this fact?
Not sure why this is downvoted. The question specifically asks for console commands, so it can certainly at least be listed here. You don't have to use it if you don't like it.

comment Getting dominated by multiple super powers while playing as France. What should I do?
I don't think this is a good answer to the question. The concepts you explain are useful on their own, but not particular to this question. And you're not explaining the AE concept at all, even though it is the reason for the problems by OP. And declaring war yourself may lead to even more AE, so you'll end up in a circle of hatred towards your country.

comment When should I (prepare to) Westernize?
I'm afraid that, while this may be helpful for beginners, it doesn't really answer your question, as these are just simple and basic ideas you doubtlessly already know.

comment Declare War Screen, what do the check box border colors represent?
@mxmissile There should be a green checkmark or red X just right of said box for this purpose. If you mouse hover over it, it will tell you something like "...is likely to (not) join".
