The first games I played were on the C64, after that I got a SNES and went from there to computer games.
The first real games for me were Albion and The Settlers 2, amazing games which still fascinate me today.

Can I save my weighted companion cube in room 17? @ripper234: I'm not sure if I would consider "pushing a cube at an awkward angle through a wall edge into a portal" can be considered not a bug. I don't know what's going in that swap-maneuver, though, but it also looks like a bug in a trigger of some sort. |

Minecraft bukkit plugin for maintaining a separate resettable mining world? The usual way would be to get a Bukkit plugin which does that. The "fun" way would be to get Multiverse, setup the mining world, and then delete the contents of the world directory via a cronjob (and maybe restarting the server). That way the server will be forced to regenerate the world. |

When I try to break a block it opens the game menu I don't believe you. I think what you're describing is a LWJGL bug were the mouse-pointer becomes visible because of clicking. |

Transporting Squid Pushing it through a canal might work. Even the uphill is no problem if you can get it into a tank which you start to fill with gravel (or something) from the bottom up. |

I do not distribute any jar from Mojang (so you'll need an account to download it) and the official Mineraft.jar can be easily launched in a pretty similar matter (see your own answer), so I fail to see the problem. |
