This isn't really important, but how on earth did you manage that?

comment Minecraft error Open gl
This is not an error that is caused by Minecraft. In the crash report, there is a line that says at org.lwjgl.opengl.GL11.glGetError(GL11.java:1279). This means that the error is caused by the file "GL11". "GL11" is a part of LWJGL - which is not made by Mojang. Because it is a NullPointerException, I would assume that the only thing you can do, is update your graphics card.

@TomJNowell Are you on the same network as the person connecting to your world? And also, can you not disable the virtual box adaptor?

@TomJNowell only the person hosting has to port forward. Another thing, are you in th same house on the same network? And why are you using virtual box?

@TomJNowell what's the big deal if an ip changes? You just go to whatismyip.com and give your friend the ip it shows. Then your friend just logs into your ip here:port also, I still didn't get a notification because you spelled my name wrong. Hehe.

comment How can I safely and simply make minecraft mods compatible?
Yes. But but be warned that if you have a world where you already placed blocks with that ID the blocks will probably change IDs. So if you already had one of those mods then edit the new one since you haven't placed any of the new blocks.

Do you mean for overlapping files? Like both of them change example.class? Or do you mean for two mods with the same ID? If they're using modloader they most likely have the IDs defined in a class the mod added instead of editing a pre existing file. If its the IDs then check the config first. If there isn't one you could just open the file where the block or item is added and change the ID.

No problem. Also make sure you accept the best answer and read the FAQ if you haven't already :)

What it looks like to me is that the server got disconnected or something during the download. Click options (in the launcher) and click force update. Then click login. Until you proofread as Ender said, we can't really answer.
