comment Where to farm the basic upgrade materials?
@DavidYell: Although that question has a very good answer it doesn't explicitly map out routes for all types so doesn't directly answer the question. Also (and I'm trying to educate here, not be a dick) I think you meant "moot", not "mute" - dictionary.reference.com/browse/moot

comment How does the 'Lets Dance' bounty work?
I'm not sure when I actually got it but I'm fairly sure I got it while blade dancing my way through enemies. My assumption is that there is a maximum time between kills that cannot be exceeded (eg each kill must be within two seconds of the last or something) but it may be 7 kills in 10 seconds or something like that. I'm commenting because I have no hard evidence...

This seems like a broad question. In my experience farming in any zone will do the job, you just have to make sure you find all the nooks and crannies were chests and nodes spawn.

comment What are some good ways to get rare materials?
Also probably more importantly is that public events give you a postmater package for the first one each day but also each one you complete gives you a chance of an ascendant material each time you complete one, not just for the first one. Also dismantling legendary weapons and armour will give you these materials. Useful for obsolete items or if you have marks you can buy geasr purely to dismantle for the materials.

FWIW where you farm planet materials I think is probably irrelevant. The key thing is to learn where all the spawn points are. For example on earth I'll go to the divide and run circuits there since I know all the places there. On the moon I'll do it in Archer's line. On Mars at the place where the cabal have built their fortifications and are fighting vex. On venus to the ember caverns (if I remember the name correctly - first zone to the left). The key thing is just learning where all the spawn points are so you don't miss them.

comment AI is not smart
@Buddha: I may be wrong but I suspect you won't get many useful answers. The AI is as it is because that's how it was programmed. This is partly why I suggested the harder skill levels because presumably they use different AI to make it harder (though they could just "cheat" on their resource income, etc. to give them advantages). I'm not sure though without mods how you expect to be able to "educate" AI to attack you and be more threatening. The AI is what it is (for better or worse).

Are you asking if there are options to mod the AI or are you hoping for in game switches to change its behaviour? I assume you're playing on the hardest difficulty setting already?

comment How does combat work and how can you heal in battle?
This is an excellent answer but I think it is worth mentioning something about stronghold alarms. They make things much harder so in the early game I found it was either necessary to kill people before they set off the alarm or if the alarm was going off just get the heck out of there.

comment Which can be used for data transfer on Destiny?
I can't answer with specifics but as I understand it you don't need to do anything special except for sign in on the appropriate system with your appropriate XBL account. I doubt it matters whether you have a download or disc. I don't know if you can keep going back and forth or if the change is a one time thing. I'd assume the former but there might be technical reasons why it isn't.

That's not really an update so much as repeating the accepted answer nearly two months later...

comment Does the level of the Cryptarch affect its chances of de-coding engrams into rarer items?
@IG_42: Of note is its only higher engrams that do that. If you are low level you can still have the pain of a green engram decoding into a white item. :(

comment Why would you ever want to dash in XCOM? (Rather than making two half moves.)
Does it show that somewhere in game out of interest? I didn't think there was an easy way to see modifier's for opponents shots...

One other useful use for glimmer is for having alts buy green armour pieces that they can wear while handing in bounties to level them up and get armour components when breaking them down. When I have fresh hit 20 armour components are a big bottleneck in upgrading my gear it seems. Its not a long term use but in my opinion a really good use of glimmer. :)

comment How do the damage mission modifiers work?
@RobV: Ah, so there is a penalty for the wrong type and a bonus for the right type? I assumed it would just be standard for one or other and since they were talking about a penalty for the wrong I assumed right would be the norm.
