comment Which is better for a Gaming PC Graphics Card - more RAM, or faster GPU?
This is helpful for people who use a performance CRT for gaming, as they don't need to stick to a high native res to get a sharp image, so better "effects" (including AA and AF) are more important.

comment Is there a PC controller that behaves exactly like an Xbox 360/PC Windows Controller?
Sometimes you can hack the config files to use any old controller. I did it for bioshock.

Anyone got this working with HTC magic? I don't have Sense UI installed, but apparently it's still won't work for me - bluetooth stack issue or something :(

On steam, the game's page will often specifically say that is has 360 controller support.

I understand @Morinar, but those of us who use a mouse at work 40 hours a week just prefer to rest our hands when playing games.

Thanks, this is an interesting point, and the Tom's Hardware link you gave actually has some answers for the main question - can I really get any speedup from some modern games? (Tom's concludes something like: "despite claims from proponents of 64-bit it still looks like no-one is writing their game engines to take advantage of it yet - not in a way that creates significant performance gains") If you want to add that to your answer, I'll mark it accepted, otherwise I'll add an answer or stick more notes in the original questions for folks finding this later. Thanks.

That's what I thought, so are there games taking advantage of this?

Do modern games not come with native 64bit executables?

There are actually a lot of USB-to-controller adapters, for every popular console controller. They've been around for years.
