My favorite thing to do is dance. Here are some dancing styles I do:

  • Contact improv
  • Contra (and other folk dances)
  • Argentine Tango
  • Waltz
  • Swing (limited)
  • Biodanza
  • Electic Slide, Hokey Pokey, Funky Chicken
  • The entire choreographed sequence from Thriller (really)

But often I just dance free-style. My favorite kinds of music to dance to are dubstep and electronic folk.

Moderator: I've flagged this as Too Localized as it appears to be a non-reproducible bug, and not something other people will encounter or have encountered.

It looks like this was a bug of some sort. I started a completely new game, and did the minimal steps necessary to go directly to Channelwoood and then striaght to that lever. Pressed it, and voila, the door opened. Reloaded my original game and tried again one more time, and confirmed for sure that the lever simply doesn't work in my game, it plays the door-open animation but the door doesn't actually open. Anyway, can't reproduce the problem and glad I can at least finish the game by re-playing through my new game (kind of annoying though). Will flag this question as Too Localized.

That is the lever I mean, and that next step makes sense, but my problem is prior to that step. The door to the stairway itself never seems to open.

@MBraedley, when playing multiplayer, it only drops for one player if it drops it all. This is mentioned in many places in the D3 forums. This is why it's recommended to do the Izual runs single player if your goal is just the Plans.

@ickleislands, I actually got the plans eventually (see my comment in on the question above to see the trick I used). And I actually did get all the other ingredients fairly quickly, somewhat lucky for most of them. Besides the plans, only the Liquid Rainbow was a pain, but got it after about 30 runs (a lot less than the number of times I tried Izual though).

The trick is to talk to all the ghosts on the way to Izual (Leah, etc...). For me, after several dozen runs on Normal skipping the ghosts, Izual still didn't drop it. After just a few runs talking to the ghosts, Izual dropped it. I've seen confirmation of this effect from several people on D3 forums as well. It obviously isn't a problem for everyone, but for those having the problem this may solve it.

@MBraedley, I actually think I figured out the secret. I tried to post a solution to this last week, but it got heavily downvoted, so I said screw it, if other people don't believe me that's not my problem, so I just deleted the post. I'll go ahead and post it as a comment though.
